THE COUNTRY LIVING GRAIN MILL Designed to last for a lifetime.
Bake your own organic breads and pastries with all the nutrition, and without all the additives, bleaches and fillers of store bought foods.
The Country Living Grain Mill will grind virtually all dry grains and legumes, including wheat, corn, beans, peas, amaranth, etc. It is designed to be quickly and simply motorized.
Solid I-beam construction from cast aircraft aluminum, double industrial sealed bearings, stainless steel shaft, and carbon steel grinding plates come together to make a rugged and durable mill, which we back with our lifetime warranty.
Note: Before shipping, we test grind some wheat with each mill to ensure that it is functioning properly. If you are gluten intolerant please note that in the requests and concerns portion of the order form so that we can test your mill with an alternate grain such as rice.
The Country Living Mill is without a doubt the most rugged manual grinder on the market today. It is the only grinder, of which I am aware, that utilizes two industrial-grade ball-bearings. Other comparable grinders that cost around $200.00 more than the Country Living mill use brass bushings. Many grinders use only one large bushing, but the Country Living Mill has two sealed ball bearings spaced apart which increases the stability of the drive shaft and reduces bearing strain.
Rated Best In The World by Two Consumer Magazines! Country Living Grain Mill A masterwork of simplicity and ruggedness: Industrial Grade Sealed Bearings Balanced Flywheel Perfect for Hand Milling or Motorization Lifetime Guarantee Made in U.S.A. The auger that comes with the Country Living Mill resembles a large spring around the grinder drive shaft in the feed housing. This auger produces a minimum amount of drag on the crank wheel and is enough to move small seeds such as wheat through the feed chamber to the grinding plates or burrs. The small grain auger that comes with the grinder doesn't adequately move large seeds through the mill and for those of you who wish to grind larger grains such as beans and corn, you'll need the larger auger designed for this purpose.
